Light, Flow & Everyday Function

This main floor renovation focused on improving flow, increasing natural light, and creating a space that works better for everyday living while still feeling warm and intentional. Strategic structural changes paired with layered materials transformed the heart of the home.

A mix of oak and painted cabinetry brings balance to the kitchen — warm, natural wood tones paired with lighter finishes keep the space feeling grounded yet fresh. Open oak shelving adds subtle detail while tying in the tones of the island and softening the overall composition.

Originally, the attached garage had no interior access — entry required going outside and back into the home. A new door was added from the garage, and the back hall was completely redesigned to function as a practical mudroom. Careful planning ensured the powder room and laundry were preserved while significantly improving functionality.
